We offer top-to-bottom inspections including roof, attic, individual rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, basements, water, heat, and electrical systems, as well as structural assessments. About half of an inspection concerns the exterior - after all, it is the exterior that is "in the elements." The single item that gets the most attention is management of water, especially roof water. Literally thousands of gallons of water fall on each roof annually, and if that water is not moved away from the foundation, bad things happen. Bob's line is, "It's a house, not a boat!" Over 90% of the homes we've inspected DO NOT have a functional rain management system. The solution is usually not expensive; we say it is the most effective thing you can do to maintain a sound foundation and to keep a dry basement.
Although all inspections are only visual (no intrusive examinations of inaccessible spaces), we have learned what things to look at! Our goal with each inspection is that you would have confidence that you know the significant facts about your home.
